Pricing is Subjective

Each mural has its own individual characteristics therefore the price will vary according to the project.

This guideline is to be used as a tool for developing a budget.

Mural Pricing Guide

Step One

You and I meet to discuss ideas and view the room or wall to be painted. While some clients have a clear vision of what they want, others have no idea and leave that up to me to provide them with suggestions. Once the theme is determined, a rough sketch is drawn up.

Portfolio Review

  The first meeting is included.

Lisa Rose Studio & Designs has been surveying the chicago land area for 5 years. Based out of Antioch, Illinois so if you live within a 60 mile radius we are happy to come and give you a quotation. There is no charge for the service. We can then see the room and discuss the options with you as to your needs, requirements and budget. If you live further away, then I will charge a small quotation fee.

All time spent after the first free two hours will be at an hourly charge of $35 p/hour. If travel time is involved, of course, travel, lodging and other misc. expenses should be added.

At the first meeting I will look at and measure the area to be painted. I also will show my portfolio. Most of the time it's a brainstorming session to develop thoughts and ideas of what the client wants along with my thoughts and ideas. It helps if the client has TEAR SHEET ideas from magazines, books, the Internet, photographs or other sources. At this time I can not propose a start date. I can not say if a project can be completed by a date given by the client before the contract is signed and a deposit is received.

Step Two

 Estimate

A  custom quote/ ballpark estimate will be provided 2-5 days after the initial consultation. If you are happy with the ideas and quote, a $200 non-refundable  deposit is then due.

This price may vary depending on the complexity of the mural. At this stage the nonrefundable retainer, will be used for studies, any research of subject matter as well as a drawing of up to 4 hours in time. This is the model used for the mural and what the client approves before work can begin.

This also insures that the client is serious and committed to a project as well as protecting my time. This is important because this is the image the client OK's before the contract is signed. Revisions or changes of up to two hours are at no extra charge.

A date will not be scheduled until contract is signed and deposit is received.

Step Three

Contract

Upon completion of the designs, client will be supplied with a custom quote/ final estimate. This proposal describes the project and provides an estimate of the cost. Attached to the proposal is a preliminary sketch(es). On rare instances a color rendering can be prepared for an additional fee.

The $200 deposit is then applied toward the total cost of the mural. Once all changes, if any, are made to the designs and the drawings are to clients satisfaction, the contract is signed and a date will be scheduled for painting. A deposit of 50% of the fee is due at this time before work begins and the balance is paid upon completion. (Lisa Rose Studio & Designs is on a "First come First Served" basis so receiving the deposit insures a start date.) Progress payments may be required for larger commissions. If there are any changes made to the mural once painting has begun, there will be additional charges.

The Artist signs all work and photographs it for the company's portfolio.

Murals range in price based on factors including:

size (one wall, one room, etc.)
complexity of the design (the amount of detail requested)
    labor (time, effort required)
working environment (high ceilings, damaged or unprepared walls, etc.)

Due to the different degree of variables in each individual project each the price for each project is bid for that specific project. So these prices are an average idea of cost.
